Illamasqua Raindrops swatches and review

Today I have what I think is a special polish, Illamasqua Raindrops! I know it was very popular in the nail polish community when it was first released a few years ago, but it was LE and hard to find.. Now Illamasqua has brought it back!! I can see why so many people love it. Its is beautiful, subtle and unique.

I would say this is a blue toned gray with small silver/white glass fleck. It is sheer but buildable without any issues, I used 3 coats to get full opacity, the formula was awesome there was no streaking or tugging at the cuticle when I added the next coat and it didn't get thick and gooey after 3 coats.

The only problem is that its only available on the Illamasqua website and the shipping is rather expensive coming from the UK, I bought this in a group buy to save on shipping and I paid about $20 USD, but I think this is very very much worth the 20 dollars, I also bought the LE Pink Raindrops and I should be getting that in a few weeks so keep your eyes open!

So what do you think, are you planning on picking this up? Let me know if you have any questions :)

Kelara Lacquers Aunt Theresa Review and Swatches

Hey everyone, Its been a while since I made a post, sorry about that! The lighting isn't the best today it been storming all day today and Iv'e got some creepy guys outside my windows fixing something upstairs LOL... but i didn't want that to stop me from reviewing one new indie polishes, Kelara Lacquers in Aunt Theresa.

This polish is part of Kelara's Colors for a Cause collection. Every color is this collection has a different coordination charity, for every polish sold they donate money to that charity. At $9 for a full size and $4.50 for a mini they will donate either 1-2 dollars. Aunt Theresa's charity is The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.

no topcoat

This polish is medium grayed out purple with iridescent flakies, I love it! It was a touch thick but easy to use, I got full opacity in 3 coats. It dried fast and to a satin finish and a bit textured, I would suggest using a top coat to make it smooth and shiny.

the words on the label started to rub off when my hands were wet, so aware of that, luckily
the  name of the polish is on the bottom :)

So what do you think about this polish? I love the color and I love the bottle is very unique. I also love the charity that it goes to, I lost my aunt to the pancreatic cancer about 10 years ago so this polish was very fitting.

They are sold on Etsy and you can find them HERE

Mac haul

So i went out of town and went to the mac counter and got a few things in the mail... I haven't been interested in anything from them for about a year? and even then it was maybe a lipstick or an eye shadow. As you might be able to tell from that story i got a few things from the most recent MAC collection (Tres Cheek, Reel Sexy, and Extra Dimension) i got a lipstick in reel sexy, 2 blushes one in pink tea and the other is immortal flower, and a high lighter in superb. So lets see some pictures!

Reel Sexy

This lipstick in real life is a touch more pink/coral/pastel its sort of hard to capture it always pulls stronger orange. Its very creamy and very pigmented i love it alot more then i though i would! i would say its more orange and pigmented then say jazzed.

Left: Immortal flower.  Right: Pink tea.
I did a previous post on pink tea so in your interested in more info and pics click here.

Immortal flower
This is a peach with a touch on pink in pan bit on the skin its a bit brighter on me anyways but i am pretty fair, its does go on darker then in the pan. I'm going to have to use this one a couple times to see how i like it on me, as of not I'm unsure.

Superb

Top: light sheer swatch  Bottom: heaver swatch

When i first got this in the mail I thought it was going to be waaaayy to dark for a high light but i guess being that its so metallic you don't need a lot to get it to show up well so it works awesome!

Thanks so much for reading! next i think ill be posting a nail polish haul, I'm just waiting for one last order to come in... theres alot...

Mac's Pink Tea v Pink Cult

Hey!
So today i got in the mail a package from MAC... i was suppose to be getting pink tea and immortal flower but alas immortal flower was sold out during my check out time and wasn't shipped to me :( oh well.
 So here are some pics!

Pink Tea

Pink Tea

this is it in about a medium swatch built up a little

pink tea on top. pink cult on bottom

pink cult left. pink tea right

I thought these two would be closer being that they are described on MAC's site sort of alike, but as you can see pink tea is more light, bright, and sheer where as pink cult is darker, more pigmented and more of a brown/gray undertone.

I really like both of them but for different things I am glad i picked it up! I hope i can pick up immortal flower tomorrow at the store. If you have any question or such let me know :)
